Every band inevitably possesses at least one music nerd . In Burlak's case, it's Vanya Stanisavljevich. Born in Former Yugoslavia and raised in the UK and Sweden, his and Roman Karpovich's paths crossed in 2004 when the latter was out hunting for a guitarist capable of performing the cast iron riff-work of Burlak as envisioned by its creator.

Unlike Roman, who is often found locked in discussion with various bird species in his spare time, Vanya opts for a more conventional approach to kicking back, such as playing guitar, writing music and enjoying 80's action films featuring actors who very obviously abused steroids.

He also has the nasty habit of occasionally embarassing himself by playing fusion licks and other unwelcome noise in the presence of the other band members.
