Burlak firmly believe in a try-before-you-buy philosophy, so rather than providing you with mundane 20 second clips of each track that do little to do either the bands music or its fans justice, the entire album is available via an innovative service known as Music-Glue. This, the band believes, is a fairer approach and effectively walks the fine line between illegal downloading and tricking people into buying a record they might not actually think is worth paying for.
Lastly, for you lucky folks in the UK and Sweden, the album will be available on Spotify for a limited time providing yet another alternative to hear the album in its entirety.
56k modem? No problem, we've got a halfway solution for you guys too - here's a 2 minute album sampler which we believe provides a pretty decent overview of what the band's music is about!
Remember that in the 21st Century, large record companies are slowly going to keep losing ground eventually being survived by independent artists such as Burlak who dictate their own terms and conditions, and are incidentally supported directly by their fans. All purchased albums and merchandise go directly towards putting food on the band members' tables.
Some people choose to believe otherwise - either that musicians shouldn't be paid for their work because all information should be free, or that most money comes from touring and endorsement deals. While the latter may be true for a small percentage of artists who survive with the backing of multibilliondollar record companies, it holds little water for the rest. For information that dispells common myths regarding how artists make money, see the links to the right. Remember to take into account the fact that the band handle all the stages of music creation and sales themselves, which merely increases the negative influence of illegal downloads on sales.
